ISOBUS Solutions

Bring greater flexibility to your work.Case IH ISOBUS solutions suit every type of business and provides you with the flexibility
you need to automate your operations. The standardized ISOBUS communication protocol enables the greater automation of machinery control
to the benefit of production, the environment and the safety of the operator while simplifying management operations and data gathering.

The Industry-Standard Communication Protocol

ISOBUS is a set of communication protocols based on International Standard ISO 11783 conceived specifically for linking agricultural tractors, implements & software. This is the result of an agreement between the main manufacturers of agricultural machinery and equipment to solve compatibility problems, standardising communication among different implements, regardless of the manufacturer. With ISOBUS, any operator can take a Case IH tractor, plug the ISO implement into it and begin working. They don’t need to recall settings or do any additional setup because everything is loaded to the terminal immediately.

Share a common language

A standardised, compatible link between the tractor and the attachment, whatever the brand, controls all your ISOBUS devices using the touchscreen monitor. Just plug it in – all Case IH tractors are wired up on delivery – the necessary technology is factory-fitted.

Enjoy savings

In collecting the data in real-time, ISOBUS rationalises the use of fertilisers and chemicals, ensuring targeted distribution. In combination with a satellite system, it helps to avoid overlapping or empty areas.

Increase your efficiency

ISOBUS standardises control settings, reduces downtime and minimizes installation and interface issues. Implements can control the tractor for increased efficiency and reduced operator fatigue.

Save time

The standardised, nine-pin plug makes it easy to connect different components using "plug and play" while no additional monitors are required in the cab as your display will manage multiple implements and tasks.

Ideal for your mixed-fleet

ISOBUS technology provides a uniform interface and data exchange format that ensures compatibility even with third party manufacturers via a single, fully integrated terminal.

Section Control helps lowering your input costs of farming operation in eliminating double applications of seed and fertiliser.

Reduced overlaps

The technology will automatically switch sections on/off in areas that have already been covered to avoid overlap on passes in field, at headland turns and irregular fields shapes.

Reduced seed costs

By reducing overlaps, Section Control decreases the total amount of product used in the field. This optimises also your yield by preventing double application of seed.

Reduced operator fatigue

You no longer need to focus on manually turning the implement sections on and off. With Section Control, you reduce your stress level and can focus on other important tasks.

Less wastage, fewer skips and higher yields with Variable Rate Control

Variable rate technology allows prescription application of inputs. It helps you more efficiently apply nutrients to a fully integrated platform that gathers data during every phase of production, ensuring fewer trips across the field.

Feedrate Control technology on LB XL and LB HD series

Using Feedrate Control, the baler controls the tractor’s forward speed through ISOBUS Class III commands, maintaining desired capacity and bale slice thickness by using a charge sensor. The system then calculates the best speed based on the information received from the sensors.

Our Large-square balers are all ISOBUS III ready from factory, just ask your dealer for the unlock code to run with this automation system.

Increased operator comfort

With Feedrate Control, fewer operator interventions are needed. You can focus on other tasks, be more precise and run the all day in being sure about your bale quality.

This results in a consistent productivity with less fatigue after a long baling session or even for inexperienced operators.

Lower baling costs

The system helps to get the maximum capacity, without overloading the baler. This ensures less damages to the shield bolt and results in reduced maintenance costs.

Furthermore, optimizing the feedrate throughput all over the day provides up to 5% fuel savings.

Up to 9% more tons/h

Tractor and baler are consistently operating at maximum capacity to maintain the highest productivity.

This ensures the homogeneity of your bale, a constant density and an uniform crop flow whatever the conditions.

Bale Command technology for RB455 and RB465 series

The RB455 and RB465 round balers can be equipped with ISOBUS Class III. Paired with a Case IH tractor featuring a CVXDrive™ continuously variable, PowerDrive powershift or ActiveDrive 8 dual-clutch transmission, this system is automazing the complete bale process without operator input.

Set-up your bale density and bale diameter

From your monitor, you just need to start in providing with the basic parameters and set-up according to your needs.

Your baler is taking the control

The baler will inform you on the monitor when the bale size and bale diameter are reached. ISOBUS Class III will automatically stop your tractor so that the baler can engage the net wrapping and open / close the bale chamber.

Enjoy automation!

In combination with ISOBUS Class III, you just have to focus on driving while. Baler automation can help reduce bale cycle time, minimize operator stress and increase productivity.

Case IH is one of the founding members of the Agricultural Industry Electronics Foundation (AEF).

The AEF has developed a Database of Certified ISOBUS Products to help operators, dealers, and others check ISOBUS compatibility amongst equipment and components by showing exactly which ISOBUS functionalities each machine supports. The AEF ISOBUS Database can be accessed via its website (www.aef-isobus-database.org) and via a smartphone app.

You will be able to configure your tractor/implement combination and immediately see whether the selected combination is ISOBUS compatible and with which common ISOBUS functionalities it is equipped.

Universal Terminal

This functionality can be used to operate an ISOBUS implement on any display. Or an individual display controls different ISOBUS implements. In this way, an ISOBUS Universal Terminal can render numerous implement-specific displays superfluous.

Auxiliary Control

This is used to connect additional elements, such as a joystick or switchbox to the ISOBUS, making it easier to operate the implement. Once connected, the functions of the implement can be operated by the AUX device instead of having to use the ISOBUS Universal Terminal.

Tractor ECU

The TECU represents the “job computer” of the tractor on the ISOBUS. As a gateway, it provides tractor data for the other ISOBUS participants, such as forward speed or PTO speed or rear hitch position. In this way, for example, an implement can apply fertiliser or crop protection products depending on the driving speed signal provided by the TECU.

ISOBUS Shortcut Button

ISB can be used to deactivate functions of an implement that have been activated via an ISOBUS display. This can be helpful when the operator has navigated away from the Universal Terminal page in the display to monitor another tractor operation. The implement manufacturer defines which functions can be deactivated by the ISB.

Tractor Implement Management

TIM is a cross-product and cross-manufacturer ISOBUS solution where the implement controls certain tractor functions and optimises the working process. The implement sends information to the tractor via standardized and secure communication which leads to an optimisation of the overall system.

Task-Controller basic

This functionality documents specific values of the work that has been carried out, by the ISOBUS implement. Documentation can then be exported from the Task controller and imported into the farm management information system thanks to the ISO-XML data standard.

Task-Controller geo-based

TC-GEO can additionally be used to collect location-dependent data, such as an applied map. This functionality also includes the use of a variable rate prescription map when the field has been divided into management zones which require different application rates.

Task-Controller Section Control

This controls automatic activation of sections on the implement, for example when spraying fertiliser, based on the GPS position and the desired degree of overlap.
